Location: Multnomah Friends Meeting House, located at 4312 SE Stark Street, Portland Oregon, 97215. Follow our signs at the door to find our retreat space. It is a fully accessible building, with street parking out front.
Retreat will also take place on Zoom.
Plan for a restorative day of gentle movement, sitting and walking meditation, and grounding Dharma to provide a refuge from overwhelm and stress.
Join Trina Truong for a day of stopping and resting. Experience the nourishment of non-doing. Be held in a loving and gentle container. Be in the presence of Dharma friends practicing with you and the guidance of a teacher. Cultivate the energy of calm that listens and honors our need to take care of ourselves while practicing mindfulness and lovingkindness to our body, heart and mind.
Bring your own cushion and a yoga mat if you want to have the option to lie down. Bring a dish to share or pack your own lunch. We will practice mindful eating. If the weather is nice, there is the option to practice outside. Food can be stored in the cafeteria fridge or cooler.
Retreat followed by Saturday Sangha at 4:30pm.

ABOUT THE TEACHER: Trina Truong (she/her)
Grounded in her Vietnamese Buddhist heritage, Trina offers a heartwarming teaching style that bridges the Theravada Insight and Thich Nhat Hanh traditions. By integrating Eastern and Western methodologies, she provides skillful guidance to meditators through various courses, retreats, individual and group mentoring. Her practice is informed by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, Bhante Gunaratana, and Master Sheng Yen, as well as over 150 days of intensive meditation retreat experience. Trina is a Qualified MBSR teacher through Brown University’s Mindfulness Center.
In early 2024, after serving on the Teacher's Council at Portland Insight, Trina co-founded the inclusive community Pacific Northwest Meditation. She continues to lead daily guided meditations online.
