Join Trina and a group of sincere practitioners in this enriching journey walking the path of mindfulness. In this journey, you will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of essential Buddhist teachings and transformative practices adapted for modern times. Experience the richness of spiritual friendship and the presence of an experienced guide. This program is designed to provide dedicated practitioners with personalized, detailed support and an enriched learning environment, guided by the profound wisdom of Buddhism from a lifelong Buddhist practitioner and a dedicated teacher who have guided hundreds of students towards living a life mindfully. 


The Intention of the Program

The core intention of the group mentoring program is to foster spiritual growth, deepening practice, inner transformation, and greater awareness grounded in the principles of the Buddhist teachings, mindfulness, meditation, and selected methodologies and practices.


Objectives

  • Spiritual Deepening: Embark on an enlivening journey into Buddhism. Gain a deep understanding of Buddhist thoughts, see the clear map of the Noble Eightfold Path, learn Buddhist Psychology and essential teachings that are at the core of what the Buddha taught. You will be invited to engage deeply with what arises within you and your life that reveals the teachings through direct experience and contemplation. Become well-versed with the foundational principles to support the cultivation of the inner qualities of the heart and mind directly leading to personal and collective liberation.

  • Personalized Support: Receive personalized guidance and concrete practices tailored to the unique dimensions of your inner landscape. Gain skillful perspectives and explore techniques to process internal impediments and formations stemming from limiting beliefs and fundamental vulnerabilities, thereby facilitating a return to wholeness, healing and well-being.

  • Collaborative Learning & Transformation: Benefit from wholesome, diverse perspectives for the ground of insights to arise through group reflections, peer interaction and Q&A sessions. Experience the potency of individual and collective awakening and healing within a dedicated, like-minded community of spiritual friends—a constant, powerful reminder that you are deeply supported and you’re not alone on the journey.

  • Confidential Space: Step into a warm, gentle, and fully confidential container where you can engage in open dialogue, true vulnerability, and mutual support, knowing your deepest work is held with reverence and trust. This container is intimate, and exclusive to only dedicated practitioners who already have practiced in Wake Up Together or in other spaces with Trina to ensure a good fit.

Program Structure

Program Investment

The program provides ongoing support to cultivate a life of being awake and aware, integrating spiritual principles into daily life. 

  • Weekly Meetings:  We will meet once a week on Zoom on Thursdays at 7PM Pacific Time for 90 minutes.

  • Progressive Curriculum: Structured learning that builds week by week, coupled with the fluidity of exploring topics arising from the group’s needs and relevant matters of our time.

  • Resources: Receive materials, recordings, and topics for reflection, for memorization, and practice.  The resources are meant to feed your senses with wholesome nutriments. You have the option to choose how much you want to engage with the materials provided.

  • Monthly 1:1 Guidance: Receive focused attention with Trina through a 50-minute one-on-one call once a month. You can use this time to ask questions about your practice and how to apply the teachings to what is occurring in your life in the present moment. Schedule a monthly recurring call or on a needed basis.  (This is valued at $60–$175 per session.)

  • Ongoing Connection: There will be a dedicated Slack channel for sharing resources and exchanging with your peers and Trina. This will help you to stay connected to the program beyond our weekly sessions.

The program is offered on an accessible sliding scale. 

  • $100-$175/month, sliding scale. Pay what you are able to.

  • Payment plans and autopay are accepted. Trina will work with you to support your intention and commitment to this program.

Course teacher

Trina Truong, a qualified MBSR Teacher trained at the Mindfulness Center of Brown University, specializes in trauma-sensitive mindfulness and has extensive experience teaching mindfulness and meditation to diverse groups, including marginalized communities. She co-founded Pacific Northwest Meditation in Portland and offers daily guided meditations through her online community, Wake Up Together. Participants can expect a supportive environment of learning and depth, that encourages self-exploration, practice, and inclusivity.

Hi! I’m Trina.

I am so happy that you are here! I’m eager to share with you the tools that have worked for me and hundreds of my students who practice mindfulness. I’ve taught mindfulness workshops, classes and retreats for the past 10 years in a variety of settings, from public sectors in prison and educational institutions, to spiritual and non-profit centers. I would love to show you how to deepen your capacity of awareness to take on all the challenges of day to day life with a greater sense of stability and ease, and perhaps, maybe even with joy.

Trainings received:

  • Qualified MBSR Teacher trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with a focus on trauma-sensitive mindfulness at the Mindfulness Center of Brown University

  • Authorized Meditation Teacher in the Insight Meditation tradition

  • Sat in intensive silent meditation retreat for over 150 days

  • Completed a 3 Year Curriculum for Living Program with Landmark Academy, trained as a Performance Coach

Hear a recorded meditation from Trina in Wake Up Together Morning Meditations. Podcast begins with a 30-min guided meditation followed by reflections paralleling the practice of mindfulness and its application in daily life.

Get support with the guidance of a teacher and a group of like-minded folks to maintain a daily meditation practice. Join our daily sitting group and ignite your habit to stick to the practice everyday.

Come to a live event, be in a supportive setting with other like-minded friends, and see if the teachings and practices resonate with you. No obligation to join or sign up. Public events are offered freely. Donations are welcomed.
